I am getting old. I know my worth.
I know my purpose in this world.
My life is fulfilled, my eyes are ready to rest.
Yet I am still sowing, even if I don’t see the harvest.
Woman's work is never done!
In my blood I carry so many of them.
I can't even begin to fathom how many,
and how different each one of them had been.
You can see them in my gestures,
in my wince,
in my speech,
in my eyes,
in my bones,
in my attitudes...
I am them and they are me.
The good seeds they'd sown are bringing abundance in me.
Look at my hands and you will see their selfless love
that makes this world go round.

'Circle of Life' shows an elderly woman sowing seeds. How many times do we need to be reminded that we are not here on this earth purely to entertain ourselves. It takes us so long to get this. Some never do. Some just go with the flow and living full life comes natural to them. I am the seed. What I do, what I say, how I behave, how I react is all having an impact on other people. If only we could get it once and for all... Maybe we should start greeting each other as the Mayas: "In Lak'ech Ala K'in" - I AM ANOTHER YOU
Includes a poem by Beata Dagiel.
