Hermitage
Original Painting by Beata Dagiel
Mixed Media on Canvas. Final measurement 55cm x 65cm inlc. frame.
The 'Hermitage' painting is inspired by Eremo Delle Carceri 4km from Assisi, Italy. The word 'carcere' comes from the Latin 'carcer' meaning a secluded, solitary place. St. Francis, his companions, and nowadays the friars and lay people go there to pray in solitude.
You can see the radiance of an encounter flowing outside and brightening the dark floors walked by passers by.
